Just one of those days. Windy & Gusty Plane Spotting at Chicago O’Hare Airport
Bouncy landings, alliance paint jobs, heavy aircraft and rare birds, this video has it all. 😀 Not very pleased with the quality of this video but it does feature several very special catches so I couldn’t not upload it!
While the day was filled with all sorts of special stuff coming and going, the wind made filming it all very difficult as it was 20-30 kt steady, with gusts most of the time, …and I like to film without a tripod so….. yeah. Sometimes when you go to the airport, you just have to take what you get. Hopefully the weather can get its act together and be more accomadating next time around for me.
My favorite catches for this video were the Martinair Cargo MD-11F and the Delta Air Lines 737-900ER. Neither fly to Chicago O’Hare International Airport very often although lately Martinair has made several flights for a special cargo job they are doing (from what I’ve heard). I’m not really going to write a long description for this one. I’ll just mention a few of the specials here.
