Music. Sweet Music. This is about as close as you can legally get to airliners without actually being inside the fence at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Airliners zoooooom overhead here at an altitude of 500 ft or less (rough estimate). In case you are wondering, I’m zoomed-out all the way right as the aircraft is directly over me for most of these shots. Not quite St. Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport but I’ll take the extra traffic as a trade-off for not being able to reach out and touch the landing gear. 😉Â
Landings / Arrivals are all on 10C from various angles around the ALSF-2 approach lighting system. There’s too many aircraft to really write info. for all of them but this video includes numerous regional jets like the Embraer Erj-145, Canadair Crj-200, Canadair Crj-700 and Embraer 170 (including the type with new winglets). Lots of mainline Boeing 737 and MD-80 aircraft as well with some Boeing 717 and Airbus A320 types included, as the usual stash of heavy airliners with Scandinavian Airlines, FedEx Cargo, AeroLogic Cargo, United Airlines, American Airlines, Air France, British Airways, Turkish Airways and Lufthansa all represented.Â
