U.S. Marines with Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 311, Marine Air Group (MAG) 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) depart to conduct a live-fire exercise during Desert Scimitar (DS-14) on Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., May 13, 2014. DS-14 is a large scale combined arms, live-fire exercise integrating ground troops from 1st Marine Division, aviation and logistical support from 3rd MAW and 1st Marine Logistics Group to ensure that our nation is fully prepared for employment as a maneuver force across the range of military operations.
