X-Plane 9 – Vans RV-12 LSA. The Vans RV-12 is two-seat, single-engine, low-wing homebuilt airplane eligible for the U.S. E-LSA category sold in kit form and as a complete ready-to-fly aircraft by Vans Aircraft. The RV-12 had its first flight on November 9, 2006. Deliveries of partial kits commenced in April 2008 and by December 2011, 151 aircraft had flown. Cruises at 100-115 kts, max speed in level flight is 120 kts. Flies for 4+ hours on 20 gallons of gas. This model comes in eight liveries. By David Austin.
