CFS – Steyr 1500A Ladder Truck With TSA. This is the ladder truck version of the Steyr Type 1500A, design used to carry fire-fighting equipment, with the trailer-TSA8. On German Fire Service during WWII, (and until the sixties), portable pumps (Tragkraftspritzen) were used extensively. They were produced relatively cost effective in large series and had for usual a capacity of 800 l/min at 8 bar. They were carried in portable pump trailers which also stored some basic material for firefighting. The fire fighting units designation for such fire pump trailers was simply TSA. Most probably, both show TSA designs were made by Metz. The lower model was made beginning around 1941. By Edmundo Abad.
