A video of my first solo flight last May 25, 2012 at Plaridel Airport, Bulacan, Philippines. I flew a Cessna 150.

Shortly before touchdown, a tailwind-strike from the right caused the aircraft to bank slightly to the opposite side. But even with that, it was a glorious day! Nothing could compare to the thrill and delight of those few, yet very special, gravity-defying minutes of my life.

Prior to my first solo, I’ve been watching similar videos on Youtube. It helped me get motivated and build confidence in flight. And like other aspiring aviators, I remember thinking to myself “Wow, I wonder how it feels to fly alone. I can’t wait til that’s me!”. This is a contribution to the aviation community, so that many, like me, would continue to aspire. This is barely a step closer, I still have a long way to go. Keep the dream alive!
