FSX – Vickers Vimy. The Vickers Vimy was a British heavy bomber aircraft of the First World War and post-WWI era. It achieved success as both a military and civil aircraft, setting several notable records in long-distance flights in the interwar period. The Vickers F.B.27A Vimy was the finest long-range aircraft of its day. In 1919 and 1920, the Vimy claimed three incredible flying records, flying between Newfoundland and Ireland to complete the first transatlantic crossing by air, flying from England to Australia, and flying from England to South Africa.
