Morpho Detection Appoints Karen Bomba President and CEO

aviation_newsMorpho (Safran), through its subsidiary Morpho Detection, Inc., today announced the appointment of Karen Bomba to President and CEO, effective immediately.

Bomba brings more than a decade of executive experience leading Safran companies to the role. Most recently, Bomba served as Chairman and CEO of Labinal, Safran’s electrical wiring systems company. Bomba also served as Executive Vice President and General Manager, and then Chairman and CEO, of Safran affiliate Messier-Bugatti USA.

Bomba succeeds Brad Buswell, who has served as President and CEO since 2011. Following his resignation, Buswell will continue to help grow the business in his new role as Executive Vice President for Business Development.

Bomba’s experience also includes serving as chief operating officer of carbon fiber company Zoltek from 2008 to 2010. Prior to first joining Safran in 2000, Bomba held various management and executive positions with aerospace companies Hitco Carbon Composites and Northrop Corporation’s Advanced Systems Division.
