Precision Air, the fast-growing airline, will phase-in four ATR 42-600s and one ATR 72-600 starting from November 2012. The ATR 72-600 will be delivered in 2014. With this acquisition, Precision Air will bring its fleet of ATRs up to 14 aircraft and will become the largest operator of ATR aircraft in Africa.
This collaboration is not the first one between the airline and Sabena technics: Precision Air awarded the MRO provider in August 2010 with a five-year contract for the supply of component repair and overhaul services, including pool access with advanced standard exchange components service.
“I would like to thank Precision Air for the renewed trust they placed in our company”, commented Rodolphe Marchais, Chairman & CEO of Sabena technics. “As the leading ATR maintenance provider, we have been preparing for the ATR-600s, developing the right capability and making the appropriate investments. Today, we are proud to welcome Precision Air as our first ATR-600s customer”
