4 dead in small plane crash near Dallas
DALLAS (AP) — Authorities say four people have died in the crash of a small plane that went missing after departing from a regional airport near Roanoke.
Lynn Lunsford of the Federal Aviation Administration says the identities of the victims in Saturday’s crash have not been made public. She says the Beechcraft Bonanza took off Saturday morning from the Northwest Regional Airport near Roanoke and disappeared about 25 miles southeast of Terrell.
She says a search was begun after air traffic controllers lost radar and radio contact with the plane.
Lunsford says a Texas Department of Safety helicopter that took part in the search found the plane Saturday evening near Terrell. She says all the dead were aboard the aircraft.
