Iberia mounts biggest programme of special flights in the history of the European Football Cup

With six aircraft, Iberia is deploying the largest number of special flights in the history of the European Football Cup competition.

The airline has placed six of its aircraft at the disposal of the Royal Spanish Football Federation for flights between Spain and Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, where on Sunday, July 1, the Spanish and Italian national sides will battle in the final for this year’s European Cup. The aircraft are two Airbus A340s, which are Iberia’s largest, plus two smaller A321s, and two A319s.

Meanwhile, Viajes El Corte Inglés is marketing over 500 seats on the aircraft for fans who want to see the match first hand in Kiev.

Most of the flights will depart from T4 at Madrid-Barajas airport on Sunday morning, and will return after the match.
