TRANSAERO AIRLINES EXPANDS ITS FLEET

  As part of its ongoing fleet development program Transaero Airlines added in May 2012 a Boeing 777-300, a Boeing 747-400 and two Boeing 737-700 NG aircraft to its fleet. 

Boeing 777-300 is equipped with a system providing onboard high-speed broadband Wi-Fi Internet access with data transfer rate at least 5 Mb/s. The service will be available for the passengers as soon as all the necessary certificates for the newest and exclusive system of satellite Internet access are acquired. 


Boeing 777-300 is also fitted with advanced Lumexis IFE system allowing passengers to watch HD videos, listen to the music, play computer games, plug-in and recharge their mobile devices using USB cables. Transaero fully refurbished the aircraft interiors with brand-new Alcantara material covered seats, overhead lockers, carpets, etc. The aircraft have total of 373 seats in four-class configuration: Imperial (4), business (14), economy (133) and tourist (222). It will perform domestic and international flights on routes with high demand in premium classes. 

Boeing 747-400 has total seating capacity of 522 passengers in two-class cabin configuration: business class and economy class. At present it is the densest seat configuration for this type of aircraft. The jetliner will be operated on popular routes to leisure destinations including Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and Europe. 

Both Boeing 737-700 aircraft have two-class cabin configuration: business class and economy class with total capacity of 121 seats each. They will be operated on all short- and medium-haul routes of Transaero Airlines network. 

Transaero’s acquisition of additional four aircraft is another step in fleet renovation with Next Generation aircraft. 

The current Transaero’s fleet accounts for 81 aircraft: 20 Boeing 747s, 13 Boeing 777s, 14 Boeing 767s, 31 Boeing 737s and 3 Tu-214s.
