SR Technics and ADAT choose Airbus Managed Inventory solution

SR Technics and Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), both part of Mubadala Aerospace’s global Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) network, have signed a contract with Airbus for the implementation of the Airbus Managed Inventory (AMI) service at the Dubai Airshow. The implementation of AMI – an automated inventory management system – will ensure the replenishment of the high-usage and non-repairable Airbus parts of the stocks of SR Technics and ADAT.

James Stewart, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, said: “With AMI, we will open a new chapter in the successful cooperation between SR Technics, ADAT and Airbus.” He added: “AMI will automate our procurement process thus significantly reducing our indirect ordering costs, as well as improving maintenance turnaround times. This is essential in view of the growing number of customers and evolving demands for globally integrated solutions.”

“We are pleased that SR Technics and ADAT have chosen the Airbus Managed Inventory solution which is tailor-made for supply chain requirements of our industry,” said Didier Lux, EVP of Airbus Customer Services. He adds: “We are confident this will contribute to reducing its aircraft maintenance turnaround times whilst achieving high on-shelf availability at optimum inventory levels.”

The AMI service, which underlines Airbus’ innovative strategy in offering customised services based on latest industry standards, captures material consumption information in real time and automatically triggers the replenishment process within the agreed inventory levels.

SR Technics, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland and ADAT, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), are leading providers of MRO services and technical solutions for the commercial aviation industry. Mubadala Aerospace, a business unit of Mubadala Development Company, is a global network of aerospace businesses, delivering value-added services to its customers.
