UK Virtual Sport And Vintage Aero Club Round Wales Rally

Whilst the bulk of our flying is recreational and ad hoc we do occasionally hold a “planned” event.
On Thursday May 12th we are holding a Round Wales Rally which is based on a real world event organised by the British Microlight Aircraft Association.
Starting at Shobdon the route will take us to Swansea, Pembrey, Rosemarket, Haverfordwest, Aberporth, Talybont, Caernafon and Mona.

On day 2 we will leave R.A.F Mona and head along the North Wales Coast and then turn south for Welshpool and Shobdon.

If you like there are a number of private strips, for which scenery is available, you can visit on the way (not in the real world itinerary) including Rhos-y-Gilwen/Llndegla/Chirk/Knockin and Breidden.

This will be a two day event with an overnight stop ( for a BBQ and beer ) at R.A.F. Mona on Anglesey for which some additional scenery is available, together with airfield scenery from a variety of sources and a huge amount of autogen that really enhances the VFR experience.
