– FS2004 US Air Force F-86F “MiG Mad Marine”

FS2004 US Air Force F-86F “MiG Mad Marine”. A repaint with extra supplementary texture detailing is for the SectionF8 North American F-86 Saber (SF86EF.ZIP). This F-86F-30, S/N 52-4584, C/N 191-682 was built by North American Aviation and delivered to the USAF in December 1952. It is a representation of the airplane assigned to the 25th FIS/51st FIW and flown by Maj. John H. Glenn, Jr., USMC while TDY as an exchange pilot with the USAF during the Korean War. The art on the side of the fuselage was unusual since it referred not only to Maj. Glenn, but also to his family, by the addition of the label, “Lyn – Annie – Dave I” forward of the primary art work. Like many combat aircraft, the art appeared only on the left side. Textures by Cliff Presley.
