The airport Schwerin-Parchim is not far away
from Schwerin, the capital of Mecklenburg-
Vorpommern, part of the former East German
Republic GDR. It is also nearly in the middle
between Hamburg and Berlin and was planned to
become the main airport in Northern Germany,
