VoxATC is a huge
advance in Flight
Simulation that adds
a whole new
dimension to the
experience.
VoxATC is the first
ATC add-on for FSX
and FS2004 that has
been developed with
integrated voice
recognition.
Talk to the
controllers using
standard ATC
phraseology and what
you say will be
heard.
Just like in the
real world, requests
must be properly
constructed,
instructions
complied with and
read back correctly.
Main Features of
VoxATC:
Fully integrated
Voice Recognition
Intelligent agent
controllers and AI
aircraft
VFR and IFR flights
All ATC units are
included (Clearance
Delivery, Ground,
Tower, Departure,
Approach, Center and
Flight Service
Stations)
Unicom and Multicom
operations handled
Traffic have user
configurable call
signs and user set
levels for different
airspace types
SIDs, STARs,
waypoints and
airways are referred
to by name
Enroute Holds
Emergencies
VoxATC X (FSX) Only
Regional phraseology
used in ATC
exchanges; 'decimal'
in frequency
settings, 'pass your
message' and 'ready
for departure' are
just a few examples
of European usage
QNH / QFE altimeter
settings in
millibars in the
European region
Regional transition
levels
Fully controlled
visible AI traffic
Ten Salient features
of VoxATC X and
VoxATC X UK
1/ VoxATC is the
only voice
recognition based
ATC add-on for FSX
and communicates via
SimConnect. You
press a selectable
"transmit" button on
your joystick and
talk normally. With
a little training
you can expect
better than 95%
recognition.
2/ VoxATC X UK is
supplied with four
seperate 16 bit
third party voices
by AT&T.
3/ VoxATC X UK
installs under XP or
Vista ( Vista
requires Microsofts'
US voice recognition
engine to be
installed ). Vista
adds Microsoft
"Anna" to the
selectable list of
voices that may be
chosen for pilots or
controllers.
4/ VoxATC X allows
flight under both
Instrument Flight
Rules (IFR) and
Visual Flight Rules
(VFR). With IFR
VoxATC will
realistically vector
you onto final. You
can even generate
your own SID or STAR
if you require.
5/ VoxATC version X
is a "universal"
version. The
phraseology changes
mid Atlantic so that
in USA and Canada
the speech follows
the FAA style and in
Europe it follows
the European style
of ATC ie altimeter
settings in inches
of mercury change to
settings in milibars
etc and "Ready for
Take off" becomes
"Ready for
Departure" for
example.
6/ The dialog window
is now a scalable,
translucent gauge
that can be toggled
on or off and can
even be undocked
onto a seperate
monitor.
7/ The window gauge
tells you who to
talk to, on what
frequency and what
to say. If you know
what to say, you
probably don't need
the window.
8/ VoxATC X very
cleverly creates its
own AI traffic
selected from AI
traffic already
installed in FSX and
manipulates them to
fit the scenario
generated by your
flight plan. It is
compatible with My
Traffic X for
example. You not
only hear traffic
but you see it as
well.
9/ VoxATC X works
even better with
multicore processors
and gives you a good
reason to use
Go-Flight Radios.
10/ Vox ATC gives
you the whole flying
experience on your
PC. If you want to
fly on-line then
VoxATC will give you
confidence and
VoxATC always has a
fully populated
world of air traffic
controllers to talk
to.
What does VoxATC X
UK adds to VoxATC:
VoxATC X UK is an
extention to VoxATC
X which makes VoxATC
X very suitable for
real world RT
practice. VoxATC X
UK is included on
the DVD and the
installation is
automatic. The main
features are listed
below:
Flight Information
Service units at the
appropriate airports
using FIS
phraseology
Air-Ground units at
the appropriate
airports using A/G
phraseology
LARS (Lower Airspace
Radar Service)
MATZ (Military Air
Traffic Zone)
penetration
DACS (danger area
crossing service)
FIR (flight
information regions)
providing enroute
FIS (flight
information service)
Add VFR waypoints to
VFR flightplans
You can also simply
Fly the circuit with
other circuit
traffic, make the
correct RT calls as
you practice your
skills or depart the
circuit and the
re-enter the
pattern. The choice
is yours.
