Through a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract with the Air Force, Triton Systems, Inc., located in Massachusetts, developed a nickel-free material technology that is positioned for transition to several F-35 Joint Strike Fighter applications. Airbus Helicopters’ newest lightweight military multi-role helicopter, the EC645 T2 (LUH SOF), has successfully completed its first flight. In the presence of representatives of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), which has ordered the first of this new helicopter type, the EC645 T2 demonstrated its capacities at the company’s Donauwörth location in Bavaria. Airbus Defence and Space has delivered the first Airbus A400M new generation airlifter to the Royal Air Force, beginning the next stage of the transformation of the United Kingdom´s air mobility fleet. The aircraft is the first of 22 ordered by the UK and will be known in service as the A400M Atlas.
British forces have conducted further air missions to assist the Iraqi government’s military operations against the ISIL terrorist organisation.

On November 25th the U.S. Department of Defense has contracted Georgia Tech Applied Research Corp., Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Big-D Construction Corp., and Boeing Co., Defense, Space and Security Division for a total of $96 million.
Northrop Grumman Corporation recently supported the successful flight testing of the U.S. Air Force’s Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) weapon system. The operational flight test was conducted as part of the Air Force Global Strike Command’s Force Development Evaluation Program.
Rolls-Royce has been awarded a new, two-year contract to provide aftermarket engine support for the US Marine Corps and Air Force V-22 fleets. The contract, through the company’s innovative MissionCare™ model, is valued at up to $287 million and will cover all V-22 aircraft across the Marine and Air Force fleets. Rolls-Royce is the sole engine provider for V-22 aircraft and has delivered 750 AE 1107C engines to the program.
Boeing delivered the sixth P-8I maritime patrol aircraft to India, on schedule, on Nov. 24, arriving at Naval Air Station Rajali to join five others being used by the Indian Navy.
The P-8I is part of a contract of eight awarded in 2009. The final two deliveries are scheduled for 2015.

Kaman Corporation announced that its Aerospace segment has been awarded a contract modification in the amount of $28.9 million for the procurement of Joint Programmable Fuzes (JPF). The award is a follow-on order raising the total under Option 11 of Kaman’s JPF contract with the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to approximately $90 million.
Delivery of fuzes under Option 11 is anticipated to occur in 2015 and 2016.

Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services, Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been awarded a $52,923,105 modification to exercise an option on previously awarded contract.
Contractor will support critical mission operations for North American Aerospace Defense Command Cheyenne Mountain Complex/Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment in support of air, missile and space defense for the national command authority.
