Messier-Bugatti-Dowty appoints Vincent Caro Executive Vice President, Programs, Landing Gear and Systems Integration Division

Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (Safran) has appointed Vincent Caro as Executive Vice President, Programs, for the Landing Gear and Systems Integration Division. He will also be in charge of program coordination across the various divisions. Vincent Caro replaces Hélène Moreau-Leroy, who has taken over new responsibilities within the Group.
Paris Air Show a resounding success: MTU records orders worth over 1.3 billion US dollars (around 1 bn. euros)

MTU Aero Engines has achieved numerous new contracts at this year’s Paris Air Show. Germany’s leading engine manufacturer records orders worth more than 1.3 billion US dollars (around 1 billion euros) at the event in Le Bourget. Over three-fourths of the more than 1,300 engines ordered are of the PW1000G family, which offer a lower fuel burn and are very quiet. “This is an impressive proof that the eco-efficiency of flying is increasingly becoming a major priority, and that the geared turbofan engine has firmly established itself as the new propulsion concept in the marketplace,” commented MTU CEO Egon Behle.

At this year’s 50th Annual Paris Air Show, June 17-23, Rockwell Collins will be launching a family of technologies that will provide helicopter pilots with unprecedented situational awareness to help them meet the challenges of flying in an increasingly congested and hazard-filled airspace.
Details about the new offering will be announced on June 17, and technology demonstrations will be featured in the “Helicopter Situational Awareness” portion of the Rockwell Collins exhibit (Hall 2B, Stand D108).

Embraer S.A. will participate in the 50th International Paris Air Show (www.paris-air-show.com), June 17-23, at Le Bourget Airport, in France, promoting its entire range of products and solutions.
Embraer Commercial Aviation will showcase the ERJ 135 regional jet and the EMBRAER 190 jet from Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana in the static display. And for the very first time at the air show, Embraer Defense & Security will showcase the Super Tucano from the Mauritanian Air Force on static display.
From commercial and military aircraft to telecommunications satellites, the EADS Group will present a wide array of innovative products and technologies at the 50th Paris Air Show which starts June 17 at Le Bourget.
Under the theme ‘Delivering Innovation’, EADS and its Divisions – Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – will showcase their market leading products and new innovations that will help shape the future of the aerospace industry. Throughout the show, the EADS Human Resources team will conduct a number of events for those interested in starting or furthering their careers in aerospace and defence.
Safran’s presence at the 50th Paris Air Show, taking place this year at the traditional Le Bourget venue from June 17 to 23, will focus on two main themes: innovation and employment.
Safran is unveiling two highly innovative systems now under development, on its stand and on the tarmac:
A pair of superefficient 787 Dreamliners will be the featured Boeing products on display at the Paris Air Show, which begins June 17 at the Le Bourget exhibition center.
One 787 will perform daily flying displays from Monday through Friday, while the other – a Qatar Airways 787 – will be on static display. The Boeing ScanEagle unmanned aircraft system will appear as part of the U.S. Corral display throughout the show.
Bombardier is proud to join its customers, suppliers, government officials and media representatives in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the International Paris Air Show. During this biennial event, Bombardier will showcase its vision for the future of mobility with its innovative, iconic and sustainable aircraft.

Airbus will present its professions along with its job and career opportunities at the International Paris Air Show-Le Bourget between 17 and 23 June.
