SKIATHOS 2018 – LOW LANDINGS, Go Arounds and JETBLASTS – Boeing 757 only Skiathos Airport or as we call it the “european St. Martin” is one of the craziest airports in europe and it` s always amazing to watch the airplanes land on this small airstrip. Arriving planes have to fly over a small street at the end of the runway and the biggest airplane which is allowed to land at Skiathos is a Boeing 757. The runway only has a length of 1800 meters.

This is our first Skiathos video from 2018 and it was also the first time we saw a Boeing 757 performing a go around at the small island in greece. As you can see the approach was just a ittle too high and after the missed approach they succesfully landed at Skiathos.

Skiathos is one of the most beautiful places if it comes to planespotting in europe. Although you won` t be able to see Airbus A340` s A330` s and other heavies like in St. Martin it` s still an amazing place to be close to the aviation action and watch the planes fly over a beach.
