FSX/FS2004 – Percival D3 Gull Six

FSX/FS2004 – Percival D3 Gull Six. This model tries to represent an extant Gull Six, C/N D46, the 2nd production aircraft manufactured by Percival Aircraft Ltd at Gravesend, fitted with a DH Gipsy Six engine & first registered as G-ACUP 18th June 1934. Differences to the previous Gulls, included a more raked & redesigned windscreen, two hinged doors allowing easier access & egress, hence a redesigned & increased length fuselage, redesigned undercart & the introduction of wing flaps. Sold to Australia in 1939 & registered VH-ACM. Re-registered as VH-CCM in 1949. Withdrawn from use in the late ’70s. With MothCair Aviation for restoration in 1997, & restored to the register & flown in January 2002. Shown with the hydraulic toe brakes as currently fitted.
