It’ s time for another “versus” video. This time you asked me to compare the Boeing 787 with its younger brother, the Boeing 767. In my opinion it` s an interesting comparison because the Boeing 787 is replacing the Boeing 767 in lots of fleets.

The production of the Boeing 767 started in 1981. Until today 1080 planes have been manufactured. The first operator was United Airlines and they still use the Boeing 767 in 2015. The unit cost of a Boeing 767 is US$ 185Million and in comparison to that the unit cost of a Boeing 787 is US$ 258 Million.

The production of the Boeing 787 started in 2007. Until today 282 have been built. The first custumor was ANA All Nippon Airways.
